Bush Bible Schools take thirty hours of training to pastors in their cities over a five-day period. Each pastor is invited to bring his wife and key leaders from his church. Some of the subjects we cover are: God’s Character and Love, the New Covenant, Faith, Divine Healing, The Holy Spirit, The Believer’s Victory over Satan, Finances, Marriage and Family, The Ministry of Helps and Leading People God’s Way. The Africa Outreach team travels back to the same locations over a three-year period. Each year, relationships deepen as trust is established.

A testimony from a pastor who has been through the three-year program sums up a Bush Bible School:

The teachings address the basic issues in our daily ministry activities. It was as if they looked into our hearts and saw exactly our problems and difficulties. The Holy Spirit brought out teachings that addressed the inner things that we have been struggling with. These have been life-changing conferences.

At the end of each Bush Bible School, hundreds of books are given to each senior pastor attending the conference. These books are on the same subjects as those taught during the week. Audio tapes are made of each session and are available for a nominal cost to each leader.

God began to challenge us that Bible truths only become imbedded in our hearts over time. Our goal is that leaders are established in these truths as part of their lifestyle – more than just leaving with notes and scripture references. This four page teaching newsletter is sent each quarter to all the senior pastors who have attended our Bush Bible Schools. The Established Heart takes the teachings from our conferences and puts them in written form.

Radio remains one of the greatest ways to reach many parts of Africa. Growing Leaders broadcast is a 30 minute program with a conversational format. Walker interviews various local and international ministers on a variety of subjects that are vital and relevant to church leadership. Currently the program airs on FM radio-stations in Southern Africa. The program has a potential listenership of millions.
