Walker and Haley Schurz have lived and ministered in Southern Africa
since 1994. God dealt with them both while they were still young
about serving as missionaries in their adult life. After graduating
from Oral Roberts University (Haley in 1988 and Walker in 1989) they
attended Rhema Bible Training Center and graduated in 1991.
They moved to South
Africa with their three-month-old son Timothy
in January of 1994. Walker and Haley served
in various capacities on the ministry team
of Word of Life World Outreach founded by Ed
and Laurie Elliott. Thousands were saved, healed
and baptized in the Holy Spirit as a result
of the open-air crusades conducted by the ministry.
After the Elliott’s relocated to American
in 1999, God put in the Schurz’ heart
the vision for Africa Outreach.
In addition to their
ministry through Africa Outreach, Walker and
Haley pastor Miracle Life Family Church in
Lusaka, Zambia.
Walker and
Haley are the happy parents of Timothy
(13)
and Jessica (11). Timothy loves computer
games, history and is a top swimmer
for
his school team. Jessica plays the piano
beautifully, loves to sing and has an
engaging
personality that keeps everyone around
her happy.
